FEYZI CELIKTEN

Born in Amed/Diyarbakır
Lives & works in Washington DC
​
Celikten was born in Cermik/Diyarbakır in Southeastern Anatolia region of Turkey in 1991.
​
During his education life, he conducted many types of research and tried many experimental techniques. Based on his paintings he completed his master’s degree thesis, which he started in 2016, in 2019.
During his education, he completed his thesis under the title of " Use of material and expression styles in the art of painting after the industrial revolution". In his thesis, Celikten conducted a research on the emergence of alternative forms of expression after the industrial revolution and the emergence of modern art, and the transfer of the center of art from Europe to America. In his research, he studied the art movements in the world after 1900 mainly through American artists. He continues his artwork in his Studio in the USA.
